Born in Toronto’s west end, OTS Gatez (formerly Troy Gatez) found his passion for hip-hop early, freestyling with friends and shaping a raw, authentic sound. After a near-fatal shooting left him fighting for his life, Gatez turned his pain into purpose — using music as his outlet for survival, growth, and truth.

Following his recovery, he founded Rich OTS the Label and dropped “Walk Remix” in 2018, sparking attention across Toronto’s underground rap scene. Known for his distinctive tone and storytelling, Gatez blends real-life struggle with resilience, earning respect as a genuine voice in Canadian hip-hop. For him, music isn’t just expression — it’s redemption.
